The city council also voted to increase the Mayor's spending limit form ten to twenty thousand dollars. Just in case you were wondering that means he can now by a house without telling anyone, or a car, or two compact cars, 453,286 ZAGNUT bars (man those things are tasty), all this without permission, bidding, or even having to tell you he is doing it. Now I do not personally know our new Mayor, I would like to meet him, but the track record of Monticello Mayor's spending money on their own is rather cloudy.
